Aww, man, I didn't know it was today! Pretty cool idea Nick has ... they did it last year too and the year before that and the year before that. I play with my kiddos outside often though so I don't feel too guilty that Ian is not here to play now and that Dylan is napping. Can we say rock pile, dirt pile, golf cart races around the farm, swinging on swings on the tree outside, planting and growing veggies and herbs, weeding plants, going in the kiddie pool, etc? I love all that stuff and we're out there often and much.As part of its ongoing commitment to putting kids and their health first, Nickelodeon is sponsoring the Fourth Annual Worldwide Day of Play. On Saturday, September 29, 2007, Nickelodeon will stop broadcasting for three hours (noon-3 p.m. ET) to encourage kids and families to get up, get outside, and play together. Ian slept at his cousins's last night. Boohoo! He has not done that since he had to when I was in the hospital having Dylan 19 months ago. Tod kept saying "I miss my Scooblington" (that's what we call him ... a story for another time) and had a tough time falling asleep. We miss our darling and can't wait to see him this morning! We're off shortly. :-)
I'm his girl ... and no, I don't mean Tod's. I mean my trainer's! :-) Aww! That's how he referred to me at the gym yesterday when a few guys gasped at the 1 hand on the floor-1 hand on a ball push ups he had me doing. This after he had me running on a 5 and then 8-incline on the treadmill the last 5-7 minutes of my 30-minute 2 incline run and told me "no one does this, no one runs on 8 (I guess of his girl trainees, at least), only you." He had told me before he looks forward to Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 AM because that's when I come in but I didn't know he thought so highly of me. At the very end of my workout, he was having me do abs and on the last set, my body was just D-O-N-E, done. My muscles were so fatigued, I could hardly bring up my legs as he was having me do but I still did all my reps, slowly (I had to will myself on each and every one after # 3) but I did them. When I was done, he said "I love working out with you because that's when everybody gives up but not you, Nari*, not you. I love it!" Proud moment for me and I love him for it! He's just awesome, super tough but super encouraging, and best of all, he loves Tod too who trains with him at 6 AM and the boys whom he never fails to ask about. Love, love, love this guy and highly recommend him to anyone!* That's what he calls me, which I think is so cute! It was my nickname in high school, actually.)
When I was driving back from the gym on Wednesday and had the "I am loved" thought I wrote about, I also thought of a friend who got a card from his girlfriend when we were in high school on which she wrote "Thanks for loving me." He laughed about it and said "Thanks for loving me? Why does she say that?" I don't know whether he really didn't get it or if he meant it like it was a matter of fact that he loved her and no thanks were necessary for that. He may have even said "Of course I love her." but I honestly don't recall. In either case, that's how I feel about Tod. "Thanks for loving me." In fact my anniversary card to him said ...On the outside: "Happy Anniversary to the only person who knows the real me ...On the inside: ... and married me anyway."Ain't that the truth, baby?! Especially when we are off a bit as we have been the last couple of days. Stillllll love him ... and he still loves me. And we'll work it out like we always do because we just roll like that. :-) Yippee!!
