Oh Happy Day!

To me, every day is special in its own right but today, August 29 today, is a BIG deal around these parts not just for 1 but for 2 reasons! You see, August 29 is when Mr. Tod and I got married not just once but TWICE. Yep, for those of you who do not know the tale, Tod and I were married to each other once before this current go around. That marriage was 17 years ago today (Wednesday, Aug. 29, 1990) and it lasted a little over 3 years. This marriage took place 6 years ago today, also on a Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, 11 years to the day and date from our original marriage and even with the same rings which I'd kept after our divorce not being able to part with them.

We have quite the story, people, and I could just bawl! I'm SO immensely, deeply proud of US. We have just come SUCH a lonnnnnnng way from 17 (me when we first met) and 22 (him) years old and been through SO much, it's hard to believe we've managed it and continued on and kept coming back together (especially after our horrible, heartbreaking not to mention bitter divorce) and taking it up another notch, another notch, another notch. It's just AWESOME! Like fine wine, we've gotten better as the years have gone on and our life is truly nothing short of a dream.

I honestly could never say enough. It really just is a privilege for me to be married to my guy, to dream our life together, to make that life come to fruition day in and day out, to have created and now be raising our 2 wonderful boys, and to continue choosing and loving one another to its highest potential. I could go on and on and on and still not quite capture how I feel though so I'll just say thank you God - thank you, thank you, thank you - and thank you, Todness, for all these wonderful years. You're the best! XOXO

P.S. May you all be as lucky in love ... although really it ain't luck that has made our relationship work! If you want to know what has though, e-mail me and I'll be more than happy to share!!

P.P.S. Read it and weep. :-) Weddings are SO special! If you were or weren't at ours, check out our Ceremony (the program as read by the officiant who married us at Tod's parents' farm) here.
