10 of them!

I just went to check on Ian and see if he'd fallen asleep. He's had a real hard time lately going to sleep because of the time change (springing forward meaning it is now a little past 11 PM instead of 10 PM). Actually he hasn't had a hard time, I have ... he just falls asleep an hour later. :-) So, it used to be that he'd go to sleep by 9, 9:30 at the latest and it's now 10, 10:30 PM. Ay, ay, ay! I'm exhausted at that time to entertain him any longer, if you know what I mean! Anyway, I just went to check on him and found him halfway out from under his covers, head towards the foot of the bed, as if he was going to get out of the bed but changed his mind halfway. As I put him back under the covers and tucked him in, I thought to myself, "gosh, if there was enough time, I'd have 10 of them!" I just LOVE my children.

Unfortunately, quality of life suffers, I think, when you have many children. There is really just 24 hours a day and the more children you have, the more you have to split yourself up. When Dylan was born, the hardest adjustment for me was not being able to be with Ian as much as I was used to. I'd be so busy with my newborn that s
ometimes the whole day would go and I would be kissing Ian, already asleep, heartbroken and waiting for him to wake up the next morning to be able to give him time. I DID NOT like that one bit! If it wasn't for that though, I swear I'd have 10 or more, because having children is just a dream! There might be room for 1 more, MAYBE, but definitely not 10.

God bless them. I love my boys! :-)
